SUBJECT:

title

One Year Extension of Emergency Debris Hauling & Disposal Contracts

body

DEPARTMENT:  Environmental Services

SUMMARY:  On August 1, 2016, the City of Edgewater entered into an agreement with Ceres Environmental Services, Inc., Crowder Gulf Joint Venture, Inc., and DRC Emergency Services, LLC to provide debris management including collection, hauling and disposal services in the event of a hurricane, tornado or other debris making event that would be outside of the City’s scope to handle. Addendum #1 executed on September 16, 2016, extended the contract’s expiration date from September 15, 2019 to November 30, 2019, to coincide with hurricane season. Addendum #2 executed on October 7, 2019, extended the contract through November 30, 2020. This addendum will extend the contract one additional year, through November 30, 2021. This is the last extension of the agreement allowed under this bid so the contract will be rebid before November 30, 2021.
