Resolution No. 2026-R-01; Sunsetting the Library Board

SUMMARY:
In an effort to provide greater efficiency and having determined that the Library Board is no longer active or necessary for the effective administration of municipal services, the City council desires to sunset and dissolve the Library Board.
No board appointments have been made and no regular meetings have occurred since 2015, rendering the board functionally inactive for nearly a decade. In the interest of governmental efficiency, clarity of organizational structure, and proper stewardship of public resources, the city formally dissolves the Library Board and directs that all remaining responsibilities be managed through existing administrative channels.
