SUMMARY:
Section 196.1978(3)(o) requires that the taxing authority, City of Edgewater, make a finding in a resolution that the most recently published Shimberg Center for Housing Studies Annual Report does not find a deficiency in the number of affordable housing units. The Deltona-Daytona Beach-Ormond Beach MSA shows there are 1,917 affordable units between 0 and 120 percent AMI. This enables the City of Edgewater to prohibit Live Local Projects from receiving an Ad Valorem tax abatement.
