COUNCIL AGENDA ITEM

SUBJECT:

title

Requesting extension of FEMA Technical Assistance Services contract with Witt O’Brien’s.

body

DEPARTMENT:

Finance

SUMMARY:

The City initially entered into Professional Service Agreements for FEMA TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE with Witt O’Brien’s, resulting from RFQ 19-ES-012, on October 7, 2019 with the term expiration on October 6, 2022, with subsequent Amendments on June, 6, 2022 - Addendum No. 1 extending the expiration date to October 6, 2023 and amended on July 23, 2023 - Addendum No. 2 extending the expiration date to October 6, 2024.

During the term of the agreements, Witt O’Brien was contracted with scopes of service related to Hurricanes Matthew, Irma, Ian and Nicole

An extension of the current Addendum is needed to bring it into compliance with current Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) regulations to allow completion of the reviews.  Both parties agree to extend the contract per FEMA requirements, as it relates to current projects (Hurricanes Matthew, Irma, Ian and Nicole), until FEMA review is completed.

These modifications do not change the contract obligations or deliverables of the original agreements.
