SUMMARY:
The City of Edgewater has actively participated in Volusia Prepares, the Local Mitigation Strategy working group for a number of years. This group has established a comprehensive, coordinated planning process to eliminate or decrease vulnerabilities to the human and economic costs associated with natural, technological and societal disasters. Proposed projects have been reviewed and updated by staff to be incorporated into the 2020 Volusia County Local Mitigation Plan.
