Background: The subject property contains a single family residence constructed in 1990. In November 2016 a permit, meeting the requirements in the Land Development Code for a driveway, was issued to construct a 15’ x 30’ concrete pad. The applicant is requesting a variance to allow a carport to be installed on the existing concrete pad to cover his RV.

Adjacent property owners were notified of the request; staff has not received any objections.

Land Use Compatibility: The proposed carport will not have a negative impact on adjacent properties.

Adequate Public Facilities: The driveway has access via 36th Street. Upon permitting the applicant will be required to provide adequate stormwater conveyance to avoid any runoff of stormwater to the adjacent property.

Comprehensive Plan Consistency: NA
