SUMMARY:
At the request of the City Council, staff was directed to proceed with a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Insurance Agent/Broker Services for Group Health and Other Employee Benefits. The contract with Brown and Brown of Florida, Inc. expires September 25, 2020. In order to allow for sufficient time to initiate and complete the formal solicitation process, staff has requested an extension of existing contract for September 26, 2020 - December 31, 2020. Brown and Brown have offered to do so at zero ($0.00) cost to the City. This is an estimated savings to the City of $14,875 based on the current contract.
