SUMMARY:
The City’s wastewater treatment plant has observed a significant increase in rainfall-related inflow in recent years. Staff has identified certain areas of the City’s wastewater collection system which seem more affected by heavy rainfall than others. The attached proposal for lining 15 manholes along and in the vicinity of Riverside Drive will reduce the amount of inflow into these older structures. The pricing is based on a competitively bid contract with the Sarasota County. Additional manholes are expected to require lining and repair beyond the availability of budgeted funds.
