The City has a surplus asset as follows:

This ambulance was placed out of service in 2019 when the fire suppression system (Compressed Air Foam System) became non-functional and irreparable. This ambulance is also not equipped with a power loading stretcher and has been deemed obsolete.
Per Florida Statues Chapter 274.05 the City may offer surplus property to other governmental units in the county or district for sale or donation Staff requests authorization to transfer this ambulance to the City of Port Orange for their use as a backup ambulance and to serve as a regional backup ambulance to other municipalities in Volusia County.
