SUMMARY:

The applicant, Farmton North, LLC has request minor site plan approval for the Deering Park North Amenity Center. The Deering Park North Amenity center consists of 24,790 square feet of pool and pool deck area inclusive of a swimming pool and “lazy-river”. The project also is composed of a 6,840 square feet of cabanas and a clubhouse. The applicant is providing 111 trees onsite meeting the requirements of one tree per every 1,500 square feet of lot area. The applicant has also provided the required 20 foot width landscape buffer adjacent to the interior road that circles the town center lake. This landscape buffer includes 23 canopy trees, 46 understory trees, and 273 shrubs. All trees provided are Florida Native species.

 

The Technical Review Committee on March 3rd unanimously approved the minor site plan for the Deering Park North Amenity Center. The project meets the requirements of the Deering Park North MUPUD Agreement, the City of Edgewater’s Comprehensive Plan, and Land Development Code.

 

RECOMMENDED ACTION

Motion to approve SP-2417.
