SUMMARY:
As part of our 5-year Capital Improvement Projects, Public Works is requesting to purchase an aerator motor and gearbox (Project WS2609). The two existing units have been in operation since 2013 with only preventive maintenance performed on them.
This aerator motor and gearbox will qualify as a sole-source purchase because they are integral components of the Ovivo biological treatment system. There are no known substitute products, and these components are not interchangeable with equipment or parts from other manufacturers.
The cost of the replacement 100HP Motor and Flender H3BVIO Reducer from Ovivo is $132,943.00.
