SUMMARY:
The City of Edgewater is currently coordinating with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and Stanley Consultants, Inc. for the SUNTrail Project - North Segment from SR 442 (Indian River Boulevard) to Dale Street. As part of the trail improvements, conflicts have been identified with existing City-owned potable water, reclaimed water, and sanitary force main infrastructure requiring utility relocations to accommodate the proposed stormwater and roadway improvements.
Stanley Consultants, Inc., under the City's continuing services contract RFQ 24-ES-11, has submitted a Scope and Fee Proposal to provide professional engineering and construction engineering inspection (CEI) services related to the required utility relocations associated with the SUNTrail project. The proposed services include preparation of construction plans, permitting assistance, bid phase services, post-design support, utility coordination, construction inspection services, maintenance of traffic (MOT) compliance monitoring, materials testing coordination, schedule management, and project records management.
The proposed engineering scope includes preparation of reclaimed water, potable water, and force main relocation plans and profiles, construction details, engineer's opinion of probable cost, permit coordination with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), and support during bidding and construction activities. Additionally, Stanley Consultants will provide CEI services to support utility relocation sequencing and coordination to maintain the overall SUNTrail construction schedule and minimize impacts to the public and adjacent businesses.
