SUMMARY:
During review of the City Charter, the Charter Review Committee brought up protection of the Indian River Lagoon and surrounding waterways. Even though the City of Edgewater has no jurisdiction over the waterway, City Council made the determination to provide a resolution to support the protection of the Indian River Lagoon and waterways.
Resolution No. 2020-R-22 is for supporting the various governmental agencies (Florida Inland Navigation District, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Indian River Lagoon Estuary Program, St. Johns River Water Management District, US Fish and Wildlife Service, etc.) in their efforts for providing the protection of our Indian River Lagoon and surrounding waterways.
