SUMMARY:
The St. John’s River Water Management District placed a bid for the supply of liquid aluminum sulfate and entered into a contract (#37933) with Chemtrade Chemicals US LLC. The contract is structured as an initial term of 1-year (October 2021 - 2022) with option for four (4) 1-year renewals (though October 2025, if approved). Renewal #1 (October 2022 - 2023) is currently in effect with Renewal #2 (October 2023 - 2024) recently approved by SJRWMD. The contract price has increased 6.9% with this renewal #2.
The vendor ChemTrade Chemicals US LLC and the originating agency SJRWMD have both agreed to extend the terms and conditions of this bid contract to the City of Edgewater through October 2024. Liquid aluminum sulfate is used in the City’s wastewater treatment process to remove phosphorous and promote water clarity.
