SUMMARY:
The Edgewater Police Department is seeking City Council approval to enter into an agreement to lease a 2021 Harley Davidson Electra Glide motorcycle at the expense of $3,500 per year. The two year agreement includes a 60,000 mile warranty. Fiscal year 20/21 will be funded by an insurance settlement payment of $8,204.80 that was paid to the City for damage to an irreparable police vehicle. The remaining funds from the $8204.80 will be used to outfit the motorcycle with emergency equipment and the motor officer with specialty equipment.
