SUMMARY:
American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life Fundraising annual event for Southeast Volusia has historically been held in New Smyrna Beach. American Cancer Society has sent the attached letter requesting to partner with the City of Edgewater for their annual event to be held in Whistle Stop Park to help build awareness to the residents of Edgewater and develop a greater partnership with the City. Additionally, Relay for Life American Cancer Society will submit a Special Activity Permit and they are respectfully requesting a waiver for the $100 fee and for the City of Edgewater to be considered as a co-sponsor for the event.
