SUBJECT:

title

Wet-Well Lining at Sewage Lift Stations #24 and #28

body

DEPARTMENT:

Environmental Services

SUMMARY:

The Environmental Services Department continues to rehabilitate portions of the sewer system via the lining of sewer mains, laterals, and manholes through a comprehensive approach. The ongoing goal is to protect and extend the useful life of these assets, through combating groundwater intrusion and safeguarding against structural deterioration.

Every year, the Department conducts routine infrastructure assessments of its lift stations. As part of this process, Lift Station #24 on Fern Palm Dr. and Lift Station #28 on Woodland Drive in Florida Shores have been identified as needing rehabilitation due to their condition.

Engineered Spray Solutions, Inc. (ESS) has offered to extend the terms and conditions of an existing competitively bid contract with Sarasota County to perform this work for $40,064 (LS #24) and $42,286 (LS #28). Unit pricing for these projects is based on Contract 2020-435.
