SUMMARY:
The Police Department will purchase two patrol vehicles to replace older fleet vehicles. The money for the purchase was approved as part of the master lease agreement resolution 2019-R-25.
Base vehicle and equipment necessary to place the vehicles into service was included in the original budget at an estimated $108,810. Due to cost escalation from time of budget preparation, the revised estimated cost for base vehicles and equipment will be approximately $10,000 greater and was incorporated into the budget adjustment approved at the November 18th Council meeting.
The quotes to purchase two police interceptors at a total cost of $89,556 based on pricing from the FLORIDA SHERIFFS ASSOCIATION LIGHT VEHICLE CONTRACT FSA19-VEL27 Heavy Equipment and Trucks FSA19-VEH 17.
