SUMMARY:
The Fire Department will purchase a Fire Engine to replace an older engine. The money for the purchase was approved as part of the master lease agreement resolution 2019-R-25.
The estimated purchase price of $505,000 includes the value of trade in of backup engine at $15,000 and the new engine would arrive with all firefighting equipment allowing the truck to be placed in service as it arrives. (I.e. ladders, air packs, axe, etc.). The manufacture of the fire engine is Sutphen. The contract will be Sourcewell Contract 022818 SUT. Sourcewell, (formerly NJPA) is one of the cooperatives expressly permitted by our Purchasing Policy.
