SUMMARY:
A manhole at the southern end of Riverside Drive is in need of replacement. In May 2020, the City purchased a new pre-cast concrete manhole but the weight of the structure and the depth of the excavation exceeds the ability of City equipment to install using in-house forces. The attached proposal is based on unit pricing available through a cooperative purchase agreement. Staff believes this to be the most advantageous route to complete this relatively small-scale construction effort in a reasonable amount of time. Part of this project also includes repaving a small section of Riverside Drive to repair the dip caused by the failure of the existing manhole.
