Discussion:
The applicant is requesting annexation for approximately 0.246? acres of property located at the South side of Josephine Street and East of Tatum Boulevard, parcel ID 7430-04-12-0070. The property is contiguous to the City of Edgewater Boundary and is located within the Cities ISBA. The applicant has submitted a concurrent small-scale comprehensive plan map amendment and a rezoning.

The subject properties are located on the south side of Josephine Street, east of Tatum Boulevard and is currently zoned Volusia County Urban Single-Family Residential (R-3A) and has a future land use designation of Volusia County Urban Low Intensity. The surrounding zoning to the south and east is Edgewater R-2, west and north is the Volusia County R-3A. The inclusion of this parcel into the City of Edgewater will allow all of the property included in the R-2 zoning district to be contiguous.

The purpose of the annexation is to allow for the development of an access easement to allow for the construction of a driveway and road to two, five acre parcels. The applicant is seeking to develop a three (3) lot rural estate minor subdivision.
