SUMMARY:

Robert Wilkie has applied for a special activity permit to Host Wilkie Wonka Day at Hawks Park Pavilion on December 13th, 2026. The event will occur from 11am until 7pm. The event features a Christmas Giveaway, Santa, Food Trucks, Music, Business Exposition consisting of 20 plus vendors and other kids’ entertainment/activities. Mr. Wilkie is requesting the waiver of the application fee for the special activities permit ($25), Park Reservation Fee ($250), City Staff - Parks for setup and Police/Fire for traffic.

 

CITY DEPARTMENT COMMENTS:

Fire:

 

All food trucks and trailers planning to attend must have a current fire inspection sticker prior to the event. Any vendor without a valid inspection sticker will not be permitted to participate.

 

Fire inspections will not be conducted the day of the event.

 

If you need to schedule a fire inspection, please contact Fire Inspector Jeff Humphrey at 386-410-9129.

 

Police:

 

(2) Police Officers which will need to be at the event 1 hour before and one hour after: 20 hours

 

(1) Community Service Officer: 10 Hours

 

In total, the event will require 20 hours of police overtime and 10 hours of CSO overtime for an estimate of $2,400 in PD staff wages.
