Resolution No. 2020-R-01 Approving and Authorizing the Purchase of water customers and associated water facilities from the Utilities Commission New Smyrna Beach that are within the City of Edgewater’s Utility Service Area

SUMMARY: The Utilities Commission New Smyrna Beach (UCNSB) has been providing water service to an area of the City of Edgewater’s Utility Service Area depicted in the Agreement under Exhibit “B”. In addition, the City of Edgewater has been providing sewer service to those customers within the Mission Oaks Mobile Home Park while the UCNSB has been providing water service. With the completion of the Tatum Boulevard water line extension project, the City of Edgewater will be in a position to serve those customers that are within the City’s Utility Service Area. The UCNSB has agreed to sell the utility lines to the City of Edgewater for $150,000. The infrastructure included is as follows:

8” Gate Valves - 5
6” Gate Valves - 15
2” Gate Valves - 1
