SUMMARY:
The City was awarded assistance from the Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND) to purchase a police search and rescue vessel. FIND upon City acceptance will match up to 50% of the purchase of a new police vessel with the matching funds not to exceed $99,672.00. The City’s matching funds were approved in the FY 24-25 budget. The City is seeking City Council approval to proceed with a vessel purchase with the project amount not to exceed $199,344.00 and authorize the City to enter into the FIND agreement.
