BACKGROUND:

Edgewater Preserve Phase 1, recorded at Map Book 64, Page 150 in Surveyor’s note 11 dedicated Tract H, J, and L to be owned and maintained by the City of Edgewater. Tract J is a utility tract, but it was also preserved and given to the City to provide access to Tract L which abuts Tract J. The purpose of Tract L was to allow a land locked property owner at Parcel ID 841400000040 the ability to access this property owner’s five acre tract from within Edgewater Preserve Phase 1. Currently, the owner of Parcel ID 841400000040 is driving over city property to access Tract L to get to his property. The intent with this vacation and dedication is to allow legal access to Tract L for the owner of Parcel ID 841400000040 through a public right-of-way. The City of Edgewater will backfill the western edge of Tract J with shell and the developer of Edgewater Preserve Phase 1 has agreed to install a driveway on Tract J.

 

RECOMMENDED ACTION

Motion to send a favorable recommendation to City Council for AB-2304.
