SUMMARY:
The City of Edgewater issued a Request for Proposals (RFP 24-ES-03) on February 21, 2024 with the sole purpose and intent of obtaining Proposals from qualified and licensed firms to provide Painting Services at the Alan R. Thomas Water Treatment Plant.
The work includes cleaning, preparing, painting, and finishing of Exterior Exposed Steel and Submerged Steel.
The Base Bid covered: Painting Services, Exterior Exposed Steel (Catwalks - Structural Support beams only (not galvanized decking or handrails), Claricones - Exterior Surface Only, Ductile Iron Pipe & Fittings - Exposed / Exterior, Aerator Column) & Submerged Steel (Claricones Weir Troughs).
The Bid Alternate No 1 covered: Painting Services, Additional Exterior Exposed Steel (Lime Silo incl. Exposed Exterior metal piping and 2 access ladders) & Additional Submerged Steel (Claricones - Internal Cone Surfaces).
This Solicitation was broadcast via the City’s E-Procurement Platform, as well as via DemandStar, and the State of Florida DMS, Office of Supplier Diversity site and was posted in City Hall.
On March 27, 2024, submittals were received from five firms and all were deemed responsive and responsible.
On April 3, 2024, the Evaluation Committee met and ranked the firms based on the published evaluation criteria as follows (Evaluation report and Bid Tabulation sheets are attached):

The Committee discussed the possibility of asking the top-ranking firms to come in for presentations but determined by review of the written submittals alone, there was a clearly identified single top-ranked firm, so no oral presentations were sought
