SUMMARY:
The City of Edgewater is applying for funds from Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND) Waterways Assistance Program to develop a new boat ramp facility, north of Boston Whaler.
The project will include boat ramp lanes with floating docks, boat wash area, kayak launch and construction launch. Infrastructure enhancements will provide up to 100 boat trailer parking spaces, roadway and deceleration lanes, cart access and upgraded utilities, including water, sewer, and electrical connections. Standardized City fixtures, such as light posts and a security camera system, will be incorporated for safety and accessibility.
The facility will feature a fishing pier, multi-use trail with pedestrian bridge and scenic overlooks, pavilions, restrooms, playground and a designated restaurant site with parking and an additional fishing pier. A wave-break structure will also be constructed along the shoal to protect the shoreline.
