SUMMARY:
Staff has determined that the generator to be purchased on PO # 11753 is undersized for future uses at the water plant due to upgrading the plant to newer technologies, these upgrades will produce higher quality water but will increase energy demand. The unit specified will not meet the demands of the upgrades and not a viable purchase in anticipating a 20 year generator life.

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Environmental Services would recommend council to give permission to have the purchase order #11753 to Tradewinds in the amount of $435,521.00 cancelled so staff readdress the generator operation size needed for the Water Treatment Plant.
