SUMMARY:
God Father Custom Cycles has applied for a special activity permit to host a Block Party on East Park Avenue on February 22nd, 2025 from 8am to 6pm. The applicants intends to have vendors who will sell food and drinks. The applicant has not requested the ability to serve alcohol in his Special Activity Application. The block party will also have a car and bike show.
The City of Edgewater Police Department has noted that the event would likely require three police officers. The fee to utilize a police officer is $56 an hour. The total cost for police services requesting to be waived by the applicant is $1,680. The Police Department also had concerns regarding shutting down East Park Avenue due to restricting access to the Police Department, private residences, and private businesses.
