SUMMARY:
On March 6, 2023, the City Council awarded the competitive solicitation ITB 23-ES-07 “Chemical for Water Treatment Facilities- High Calcium Bulk Quicklime” to Carmeuse Lime and Stone, for an initial period of one (1) year. The original agreement period will end on April 14, 2024. The contract allows for an additional four (4) renewals each one-year in duration.
As per the terms of the agreements, please find the attached renewal agreement. The is the first renewal agreement, which will extend the contract duration from April 15, 2024, through April 14, 2025 along with a price adjustment. The vendor submitted the required justification documents described in the original solicitation and contract documents to support the requested increase in chemical pricing with this renewal period. Per the renewal agreement, the City will pay $503.15 per ton, an 8.75% increase from the previous period.
