SUMMARY:
The Environmental Services Department is continuing to rehabilitate portions of the sewer system built in the early 1960s via the lining of sewer mains, laterals, and manholes. The Department has identified the next grouping of wastewater collection assets to be addressed in the comprehensive approach. The ongoing goal is to protect and extend the useful life of these assets. through combating groundwater intrusion and safeguarding against structural deterioration.
Engineered Spray Solutions, Inc. (ESS) has offered to extend the terms and conditions of an existing competitively bid contract they have with Sarasota County to perform this work for $149,924.50. The subject quote is to install a protective polyurethane lining to twenty-one (21) manholes located in the following areas:
• 19 Manhole on Flagler Avenue
• 1 Manhole on Alice Street
• 1 Manhole on Joyce Street
